This week, December Program Chairman Ken Carroll brings Millie Price, Coach of Waycross/Ware County STEM Initiative of the Ware County School System on December 13th. Mrs. Price is K-12 STEM Instructional Support Staff Coach at (912) 283-8656 ext. 1139. Also, Robbie Winn will bring our December Youth of the Year winner to be recognized. Next week Thursday, December 20 at 12:30 p.m. Captain Jim Dillinger of the Salvation Army will be here in Waycross and speak. Nationwide the Salvation Army has 90,000 workers, which are declining in numbers to collect donations and serve the nation’s poor.

This week Thursday, November 29 at 12:30 p.m. President Chris Tatum will conduct our November Exchange Club Meeting with all members attending to hear some of the results of the fair from Treasurer Bill Deason and Assistant Treasurer, Larry Paulk as needed. Jonathan Daniell Fair Manager may report on other good aspects of the Fair. No guests are allowed to stay during these proceedings.
Earlier Thursday morning, our Okefenokee Agricultural Fair Board will meet to handle business at 11:00 a.m. Next at 11:30 a.m. our Exchange Club Board will meet with President Chris presiding. Members are invited to these two meetings to observe activities of leadership.
Next week, Thursday, December 6th, our Annual Club Christmas Banquet will be opened by Harbin Farr at 7:00 p.m. in our Ellie Royal Conference Room. Standard dress is Red Coats for those of us who have them. You must sign up this Thursday marking down how many additional guests you will have. A drawing for prizes will come at end of festivities.

This week our Exchange Meeting starts at 12:30 p.m. with Robert Ramsey of the Georgia Conservation Service, Natural Resources Department, speaker.
Next week Thursday, October Programs Chairman Daniel Warren brings Dr. Ingrid Thompson-Sellers, President of South Georgia State College in Douglas, Georgia and Waycross, Georgia. Then, on Monday, October 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Al Jacobson leads our club and donors in our Exchange Club/Red Cross Blood Drive in our Ellie Royal Conference Room. Bring a friend and win some of the award money offered by our local businesses. Our blood donation center is first place in Georgia and second in the U.S. (so keep it flowing!)

Then, Saturday October 13 is Fair work day, from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Bring tools to help do minor construction/repairs. Twelve worked last work day. Let’s be helpful and on time.
